Kathleen Banks, CFRE, CFOP 

Kathleen founded Advancement Digital to help mission-driven organizations and professional firms use smarter systems to strengthen relationships and grow sustainably.


With more than 20 years of leadership and consulting experience, including interim CEO and fractional leadership roles, Kathleen understands how strategy, systems, and culture intersect. Her work spans fundraising, marketing, communications, science writing, systems consulting, and the responsible adoption of AI. Her collaborative approach has resulted in millions of dollars in philanthropic gifts and grants for some of New York's most respected institutions.


Kathleen is the creator of the proprietary Generous1000™ system, which helps nonprofits deepen relationships with their most committed annual donors and build a renewable source of unrestricted support.


A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and Certified Fundraising Optimization Professional (CFOP), Kathleen pairs human insight with modern tools to create practical systems that strengthen relationships and make more time for the human work that matters most.


Kathleen serves on the Community Advisory Board of WMHT Public Media, holds degrees from New York University and Ithaca College, and is registered as Fund Raising Counsel with New York State's Charities Bureau.
